WHEN SHOULD I GET TO BRESCIA?

The administrative and technical checks at the Mille Miglia Paddock will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on May 13th and from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM (for administrative checks) or to 1:30 PM (for technical checks) on May 14th, 2009.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SHOW UP AT THE ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS AFTER 1 PM ON MAY 14th?
Anyone who arrives after 1:00 PM on May 14th will be considered a no-show, and their place will be given to a car on the waiting list. The entry fees will not be reimbursed.

WHERE WILL THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL CHECKS TAKE PLACE?
(See attached plan no.1)
The administrative and technical checks at will take place at the Mille Miglia Paddock, at:

Fiera di Brescia (Brescia Trade Fair)
Via Caprera, 5
25125 Brescia

Take the A4 Milano-Venezia (Milan to Venice) motorway and exit at Brescia-Ovest. After paying the toll, keep going straight towards the city centre (in Italian, “direzione centro”). At the roundabout, take the first road on your right.

WHERE DO I PARK IN THE MILLE MIGLIA PADDOCK?
Keep your copy of the attached email, where your rally number is listed, always close at hand, and make a copy of it for all the cars that are with you or are providing support.

Once you have reached the entrance to the Mille Miglia Paddock, you will be assisted by personnel who, once you have shown them the attached email, will then indicate the area designated for your car. Parking in the Mille Miglia Paddock is free of charge until the beginning of the rally.

CLASSIC CARS IN THE RALLY (see attached plan no.2)
The event personnel will direct you to where you can park in area P5, both in- and outdoors (in which case you will have to switch off your engine).

SUPPORT CARS OR ACCOMPANYING CARS (see attached plan no. 2)
The support cars and accompanying cars of the official crews of the Joint Presenting Sponsors (Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, BMW) may park in area P1, upon presentation of the specific permit given to car manufacturer sponsors.
All support cars and accompanying cars of other crews will be directed to parking area P4.

PARKING FOR TRANSPORTATION TRUCKS OR ASSISTANCE VEHICLES WITH OR WITHOUT TRAILERS
You were able to reserve parking in area P4 of the Mille Miglia Paddock, which is fenced off and under security surveillance, online. This service is available from 11:00 PM on Thursday 14th May until 12:00 noon on Monday the 18th of May 2009. All parked vehicles will be given a special sticker. You can still acquire parking privileges at the desk where you pick up your materials (see administrative checks).

HOW DO THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL CHECKS TAKE PLACE?
All pedestrian pathways will be marked so you will be able to follow the correct sequence for the checks. These are listed in plan no .3 from number 1 to number 9.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS
Please remember to bring your driving licence, car insurance, a valid CSAI license, an equivalent international licence or a CSAI Card, valid just for this event (available for €20). Drivers of accompanying cars or support cars, irrespective of whether they have purchased hospitality PACKAGES, will also need to show their driving licence.

If the competitor is a natural person, and is not the driver, he/she must be present at the checks in order to present his/her international licence. If the competitor is a company or in any case a legal person, a representative of the latter must be present with an international competitor’s licence.

Drivers and co-drivers must carry out their checks at the desk (indicated as no.1) on the ground floor of the office block of the Mille Miglia Paddock. As well as a valid driving licence (also for drivers of accompanying and support cars), and insurance documents, you will be asked to show your international licence. If you are not in possession of such a licence you can request a valid CSAI Card, valid for this rally only, in room 1a (at an additional cost of €20). At the desk where you do your checks you will be given a magnetic card for any dinners or lunches you have booked, vouchers for hotels you have booked and for the car parks in Ferrara, Rome and Brescia. Please remember that the crews of accompanying and support cars, irrespective of whether they have bought hospitality packages, must also present themselves at the desk (no.1) with a valid driving licence.

On the second floor you will be given the Briefing by the Clerk of the Course, which you will have to sign for. This is already on the website and can be downloaded.

All crews entered for the rally can then watch a video in English and Italian (no. 4 on your plan). The Clerk of the Course or one of his deputies will be available to answer any questions entrants may have (no.6).

MATERIAL PICK-UP POINTS: at the material pick-up point (no. 5 ) you will receive time and distance tables, your rally numbers, the road book, rally license plates, stickers and your gift card, which you will use in Piazza della Loggia.
Accompanying and support cars will receive the support car stickers that you have reserved, as well as the stickers for the parking areas in the Mille Miglia Paddock during the rally. For those who don’t have a support car sticker, it will still be possible to buy one here (cost: €200) and parking stickers for transportation trucks and vehicles with or without trailers (cost: car + trailer: €50, other: €150).

TECHNICAL CHECKS
Do not forget your FIVA Identity Card, FIA Heritage Certificates or fiche CSAI, and your car registration documents.

After the administrative checks, return to your car to put on your rally numbers and licence plates, then make your way to the scrutineering. After the last check, you will be given a sticker saying “verificato” (checked).
