MILLE MIGLIA 2016 IN RIMINI

From Brescia, the convoy drove through the Parco Giardino Sigurtà di Valeggio on Mincio, next turning towards Occhiobello, in a breath-taking natural setting, where on the banks of the Po River the final trials were performed. From there, Mille Miglia continued to Ferrara, where there was a parade in the city centre that drove by the Castello Estense, the Palazzo dei Diamanti and the Cathedral, and then Ravenna, where the procession in the Piazza del Popolo was greeted by an excited crowd. Just minutes later the cars left for Rimini, the destination of this leg of the race, arriving on the Tiber Bridge, the only bridge in the city to survive the Second World War.

The entirely provisional ranking at the moment has in the lead, with 9,363 points, the Bugatti T 40 from 1929, driven by American Pablo Stalman and Argentine Fernando Sanchez Zinny. From the second to the fifth place, all the crews are Italian: in second place, with 9,116, Ezio Martino Salviato and Maria Caterina Moglia, also driving a Bugatti T.40, this one built in 1928. In third place, a crew of Giordano Mozzi and Stefania Biacca in an Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Gran Sport from 1933, with 9,031 points. Fourth place is Sergio Sisti and Anna Gualandi, who totalled 9,002 points in a Lancia Lambda Tipo 221 Spider from 1929, followed by Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini who, with 8,914 points, obtained fifth position at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Zagato from 1931.
